Glen Coe Raspberry

Bought one of these last year, planted it in a nice fairly sunny spot, then watched in amazement as the only shoot became about ten foot long image This isn't a problem as its up against a fence anyway, and I can just train it along.

The problem is I bought this variety because it was described as clump-forming. So far, one ten ft shoot doesn't make a great clump. Is there only one branch because it's too young, or did I miss out on a pruning stage last year to make it bushier?

Do other people have this variety, and is yours clump-forming?

I got one shoot three foot long. Last year it had about Six fruit. Polka planted at the same time has formed nice clumps. I thought it would add variety, but really a waste of space.
