Hi Logan4, I do feel for you, as I broke my ankle in January and am still recovering.  I literally lay on the sofa whole time in the first 7 weeks as I had to keep my leg elevated to reduce swelling.  There were not much on day time TV, so I signed up to Netflix - you may know this already that you can get a free trial for a month - and cancelled before the month was up.  I think 'Now TV' offers something similar too.  Also, however frustrated you are about not being able to do much, it pays not to put any weight on in the first few weeks until the cast is off.

All the best for a speedy recovery image

Ouch Logan ?.  You have my sympathy, a full leg cast is no fun (hubby had a knee op a few years ago).  Be prepared to have one skinny leg when it comes off, the muscle loss when you're non weight bearing for a few weeks can be quite rapid, especially as you're normally very active with the dog walking.

Get hubby to find a big plastic tray so you can carry on caring for your seedlings sat at the table.  Haven't you got loads for potting on? ?

Good luck and I wish you a comfortable recovery ?

You have my sympathy Logan, broke my ankle a few years ago.  Found managing the crutches a nightmare and going upstairs was a real challenge.  Took a while for my back to settle down after the ankle got better, it must have been because I was walking funny.  Had to go everywhere in a wheelchair for a while and wasn't best pleased when hubby cracked my ankle against a shop fixture in The Range, the whole store went silent when I screamed. Hope your other half is a better driver.

Hope you feel better soon, and make sure you spoil yourself and take it easy.

Thanks all, it doesn't hurt now it's in the cast, but find it difficult with the crutches. I've got muscles where i thought i didn't have, especially on the right in the chest area. I've got to simplify the cooking for OH, he found it very hard yesterday. Maybe having baked beans for every time.image
