No ....do not feed it. Now leaves have dropped, do not water a lot, without leaves it will just need a little water to keep roots moist. It may not grow new leaves till spring 2020 if at all. Maybe accept offer to replace in a month..when temps cool down.
I don't think your going to see an improvement within the next month, i think it will perhaps develop the tiniest of new buds in November'ish which will grow on further next spring. Far too late for you to get your money back if it doesn't.
If i had received this in the post i would of had my money back by now!!!!!! or i would of demanded a replacement. I would hang onto this plant though unless the company ask for it back and look after it in a cool shady corner, keep it moist but not wet and hope it springs back to life next spring.
Mine drops its leaves in the autumn but develops tiny new buds in November'ish in readiness for next spring.
Demand a refund / replacement now before it's too late to do so. Worst case scenerio you have your money back or a replacement, best case scenerio you end up with two trees for the price of one as compensation for your disapointment and trouble.
Hi, good news, I did get a refund, so will do as you say. Its sitting in a shady spot, moist but not water logged. Will watch it to see if any buds come. Thankyou again for your help
Hi, I received the refund from the company, after I complained a few times. I had a bit of a surprise this morning though. I noticed tiny leaves sprouting from the base. Do you know if this is a grafted species, if it is, then it won't be Autumn Moon. Still wondering whether to cut back or not. It does look like a graft to me. What do you think, not much happening above.
Ahh, ok. I was in two minds about doing this, incase the Autumn moon doesn't do anything, then at least I would have the root stock. But i guess if that is going to be the case, in the spring, if there is still a no show above, I would still probably get re growth bellow. I will get a scalpel out. Thanks again for your advice.
The root stock's alive so me's thinks the graft will be ok too. I think you'll see small new buds forming by the end of November this year. fingers crossed.
