Indeed, pbff; and aren't we lucky to have plants? All this sunshine and my spring flowers are all blooming away as though there's no tomorrow. And as for the crab apple - suffice to say that I think I may need to get a whole load more Kilner jars this year...
I've frequently moved mature evergreen shrubs in the middle of summer - laurel, conifer, pieris etc. No problem. I suppose the fact that we get a lot of rain in summer helps though.
As Hosta says - plants can't read ...
Re 'shade' and 'sun' plants - it's not always a case of either/or. Many plants are very adaptable, and it's what's underneath them that's as important as what's above.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I think some rules are made to be broken and we need to experiment in order to grow.. No pun intended..
I have Lavender planted so one lot gets the sun in the morning faceing West and others planted Facing east.. They seem fine..
I saved a bomb by buying a large bag of Kimg Edwards mini roast lol which I chiited and planted in potato bags as an experiment.. I planted some Certified seed as well.. They are all doing fine in fact my idea works.. Obviously they were decent looking potatoes to start with..
I planted Early Carrots in September.. they tasted ok to me..
Nessescity is the Mother of Invention so if we do not try these ideas we won't know if they work..
Kind of like planting out of date seeds!!! If they germinate great.. go for it,,You may not get so many but you will get some..

I've got cyclamen growing in full sun and native bluebells in full sun.

I think it all depends on if they get watered frequently in the Growing season.
