Sollya heterophylla (Bluebell creeper)

madpenguinmadpenguin Posts: 2,543

I have just been given a small plant of Sollya heterophylla .I know it is half hardy so will put in a pot to grow up my archway. When I bring it in for the winter is it OK to cut back stems that have twined round the arch and then cut back properly in the spring?

Also as I live on the Isle of Wight is there a chance it could be planted directly in the ground and left out all winter?
