Advice please- poorly Cordyline !

    If you have shoots keep just how many you would like, cut the stem as my pic's have shown and if more shoots pop up extra just remove them, as to many doesn't help the new growth.:)
  • I have 4 cordylines that are 27 years old, I think the brown leaves on them look really scruffy so last year cut them off, but the trunk is so tall but the top growth isn't large and full so I didn't like how it looked after, so have left them alone now, even though i still don't like the brown leaves, and now 2 of them have flower buds. Back and front view.

    I moved one to a border around February there ,it was in a 1\2 barrell planter and had been in there about 4 years and was purchased from Aldi but just got too big so took the plunge and planted it out . Hopefully it does ok but had no real option so fingers crossed 😊

    Yes they are tall, originally 1 was planted then 3 more appeared over time, they get blown a lot as I have a very windy garden and loads of rain.
    I wish they looked fuller at the top.
