shou I cut back all the dead dry leaves at the bottom or just leave it?

Hi pritie. You should be able to just peel the old brown leaves off. This gives the plant its 'tree trunk' appearance as it ages.Any that won't peel easily, just leave for a few more weeks. Eventually they will.
How should I peel the leaves? It's so difficult to get even down there and the spikes dont help.
Any tips? Thanks ladybird4 ?
Stout pair of gloves, grab hold of brown leaf, pull. Repeat.
and long sleeves.
