Can anybody ID these flowers please. They're growing in a wild area in my garden and they're absolutely gorgeous but I have no idea what they are. The first one looks like a bittercress to me but I've never seen one with this sort of flower.

Also there's a photo of something growing in my lawn that I'd like ID'd if poss.

Many thanks

The first is a Cardamine.  probably Cardamine pratensis, Cuckoo Flower.

The third a Fumitory, Fumaria officinalis I should think

Have you a close up of the last one,

Not something I've ever seen, but brings to mind photos of Adder's Tongue Fern. Have a look at some images and see what you think

  • You are brilliant nutcutlet! I've googled all that you said and you've got them all, including the Adders Tongue Fern by the look of it. I've never even heard of it but I'm tempted to not mow them now. They're almost Arum like.

    Brilliant. Thankyou.

Interesting looking things those Adder's Tongues, I'd like to see them for real. image

Have any of them got the long fruiting part?

    See original post

Visual similarities but it is a fern. I want to see some now but I doubt if there are any round here

  • Hi cloggie. They're so similar to cuckoo pint. none of them have the fruiting part yet but I'm now going to leave them to grow instead of mowing them as I do every year.
