I have just read on line that sunflower oil can be used but would this have to be diluted? Sprayed on?

Cannot find anything on the dilution rate for Sunflower oil. but one person posted that they used 1 cup of oil plus 1/4 cup of liquid soap in a sprayer and top up with warm water. Shaken not stirred! No mention of the size of sprayer though.
