Prince Charles Clematis - leaves

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I have recently planted a Prince Charles Clematis in a pot and while it is growing well, I have noticed that the leaves have started to show some undulations and look a bit as though they are shrivell up. The photo below may assist my poor description. Is this normal behaviour? I suspect not but am unsure of the cause. Very grateful for any thoughts at all.
