New Guinea Impatiens

Just returned from GC and had to purchase my favourite bedding plant N.G. Impatiens. This is my third year of buying these as they never fail to deliver. I am aware it is a bit early to put them out yet so was planning on potting up and maybe putting them out in the day (if not too cold) and bringing in to an unheated greenhouse at night. Would this be ok? Also purchased Geraniums and was planning same method.

I haven't put geraniums/pelargoniums out in the greenhouse yet, we have some cold nights forecast for here in Devon, so if they were mine I would bring them in the house for a few days, put out during the days if it's warm,  then bring indoors in the evening. Still  plenty of time to harden off and plant out, don't rush them, they will appreciate a bit of TLC when they are young.?

Thanks for reply Lyn, Just to clarify, these are not the very young plants, they are in 13cm pots. Should I leave them in the original pots (easier to bring in and out) for a while or should I put them in their new pots and bring in at night? Is central heating a problem? what sort of evening temps are acceptable? Sorry for so many questions image

Thye don't really need warmth, have you got a conservatory or cold room, it's only to keep the frost off for now.

Potting...depends on how pot bound they are, what will be their final destination, baskets, garden tubs? If so, I would leave them in what they're in now, if they are just going into individual pots, then yes, pot on if they need it. Bang one out of the pot and look at the roots.
