Another plant/shrub ID!

Anna33Anna33 Posts: 316

Can anyone ID this beautiful plant for me - I saw it at Highdown Gardens a couple of days ago, and it was really striking, but I have no idea what it is. The flowers are almost cup shaped, and the bark seems to change from green to yellow towards the end of each stem. It was a medium to large sized bush, and the bees seemed to like it a lot - here are some photos...

Could it be Poncirus trifoliata (hardy orange), maybe "Flying Dragon" ?

It think DW has it with the poncirus. I can't see enough detail to be sure but I can see some of those flattened tems in the first 2 pics

You guys are amazing - thank you DimWit & nutcutlet! This had completely stumped my mother, who is my normal go to for plant IDs and advice (I'd be on here pestering you all far too often without her), so thank you.
