Ginger lily not flowering

i have had a ginger lily for 3 years. It puts on lots of foliage but has never flowered. I have given it a pot ash feed and keep it well watered . It is I doors in the winter. Pd

I found that mine flowers if it is in a large pot, well fed, and up against a sunny house wall for the summer. It also likes lots of water.
