Another 'unknown' !

ERICS MUMERICS MUM Posts: 627

I neglected my back garden last year after Mum died in March and I spent summer sorting out her estate.

Now I'm having a gardening-frenzy and discovering plants I'd forgotten about or never seen before !  This is one such.  I think it might be one of those blue teasel-type flowers but I can't even remember what they are called so I can't google.

thanks as always

Thank you.  I've googled that and the leaves are darker, but maybe mine has young leaves and they will darken.  Hopefully it will flower this summer.

its in a shady spot so I think I will need to move it.  Should I do it now before it gets any bigger and while the weather is relatively cool ?

    Thank you

do it now, but take a nice big rootball. They tend to have a few fat tap roots.

Don't me like me. Lable it when you are sure what it is,  I am really bad at that.  I keep finding things sprouting up and I can barely remember planting them never mind what they are.  ( I do have a list on my laptop of recently planted plants.)

All my perennials were moved last year when I had the bed raised. I have lots of Hemerocallis in there  somewhere but I will have to wait and see what is what. To be honest as long as they flower I don't mind.

Do I get an untidy gardener medal?

B3 I keep mislaying the lables and the Sharpie marking pen.  I put them down and they disappear.  image

The fact that you even own such things disqualifies you, I think image
