Feeding times with blood fish and bone?

Hi all, just wondering how you all use blood fish and bone on shrubs and perennials?

I fed mine recently  when the temperatures warmed up but i can see on the instructions 'Repeat every 6 weeks throughout the growing season'.

Would many of you actually repeat feeding every 6 weeks or just once in spring?

Maybe i'll do it once again in june but just use tomato food on the flowering plants from June onwards. Wondering what the best practice image

My French version of it, blood and hoof, says it lasts 3 months. I just use it once in spring but I use rose fertiliser on roses 2 or 3 times.

My rose feed says every 2 weeks from March onwards Busy-Lizzie image I think they want us to open our wallet more maybe because every 2 weeks seems overkill

Gosh that's a lot. I have a French one that says every 3 months and another in little pellets that says it lasts for 6 months. Maybe that's one of the reasons why unemployment is high here!

I think there is a great temptation to overfeed, probably encouraged by the feed makers.

I use a general feed in March and then potash rich feeds for heavy flowerers'  later in the season.

I think the key is to feed the soil, with mulches etc and not feeding the plants too much.

How can you lie there and think of England
