Advice- growing nice long flowering white clematis through pyracantha

suzibsuzib Posts: 15

Finding it hard to find one that is long flowering and is a bit 'different' e.g. double headed and will take well to growing in our sunny front garden over a big pyracantha over the front porch.

Any advice welcome :)

  • ' Double headed ' only flower May/June, they are Early Large Flowered Group, you need a later flowering, plenty of Viticella Group flowering July to September, what height do you want ?

Richard - that Peveril Pristine you have looks stunning and might suit Suzy image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Yes, thanks for that, a stunning plant Peveril Pristine, or Maria Cornelia, or this is White Magic in our garden.

It's gorgeous Richard - I might be tempted myself  image

I wonder if the white Florida plena would suit Suzi if she's looking for a double or similar? It's a bit blousier so might fit the bill.  Not sure of sizes etc for that. I think I've seen a Florida called Peppermint too which might be even better.
