Tulips from Amsterdam

Ive been very kindly given 2 packs of tulip bulbs as a present from a visitor to Amsterdam,
I live in SW Wales.
my bulbs are mostly in my home made planters apart from the odd rogue tulip in a border!
OK, shall I chuck them in now and wait a year or store them until Oct/November and then plant up?
If storing, Shallow trays, in a bit of compost, cool environment?

They'll be dead by standard tulip planting time, that was last autumn, not next autumn.
Get 'em in asap
If you think about it, there's no time in a plants natural life that it's not in soil.

Thanks,
person who gave them me has said the super helpful Dutch guy at the flower market said the same.
get 'em in.......will be ok to flower next year.....don't bother with this digging up and storing thing in a household garden, not worth it, just leave and enjoy!
Different for exhibitions and formal displays, they dig up and donate to hospitals, schools, public parks etc.
cheers or bedankt!
I agree, life's too short to lift bulbs
