Patio Base Concern (with Video)
To better help describe my question/issue I made a short video! I'm building a paver or brick patio and I've started to excavate. Here's a video of my question:
My house is 2 years old and the backyard is about 1.5 years old. As you can see in the video, the loose rock or gravel fill extents out about 6 feel (yes its also immediately under the sod).
I don't think I want to use the loose rock but what about the other gravel material. Wouldn't this be the same as the base material I need for a paver/brick patio?
Also, if the loose rock goes too deep I wont be able to get it all up. Is that going to be a issue if I lay the base limestone base on top of it?
Any suggestions?

That looks like type 1 aggregate to me. I have 5 tonnes of the stuff on order for my when my driveway is being done next month. To my understanding and the work I am having done. My shingle drive to be dug up, aggregate laid, wacker plate to compact, sand laid and leveled wacker plate to level and compact. Brick pavers laid, wacker plate again. Brush over dry kiln sand And final wackier plate.
so in aroundabout way I am saying I think the bigger stones would have to be removed but I am not a builder and I can only say from the similar work I am having done
