Plant ID please

Looks evergreven, quite dark and glossy leaves.

Its the 30cm tall plant to the right of the citronella scented geranium.

There's also an identical plant along the back garden wall, in the background of the photo!

Both have self seeded and I've no idea what they are, but they look rather nice.

    It's in Antibes. South facing garden with 10 ft high walls...nothing around except for citrus trees, as far as I can see.

    I am stumped!

    I thought it didn't look like a UK plant. I can't see a family resemblance anything either, sorry

    Will just have to leave it togrow larger and see...

    Not knowing the local trees, I couldn't say.

    Plenty trees seed like weeds in my garden

    Ask a neighbour?   They might know their local trees.
