Is this Japanese Knotweed?

Joe33Joe33 Posts: 2

hi I wondering if anyone would be able to help identify this plant? We have just pulled down and old shed and this stuff appears to be growing behind it. It's now shooting up all over the back of our garden. i thought it was Japanese knotweed. I hope I'm wrong and that someone could identify it!

thanks in advance

No, it looks like bindweed (convolvulus arvensis) to me.  It's still a right pain to get rid of but is in a different league to JKW.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Bruise the leaves, spray them with glyphosate and leave for three weeks or so until it's totally died down and turned brown.  You may need to do it a couple of times but it'll work.
