It's an Erythronium, Sandy. Lovely - and I've just been sent some little plants by a forum member
Looks like trout lilly 'pagoda'
Snap Fairy, Trout lilly is the common name for Erythronium Sandy.
I've never heard it called that Yvie - always something to learn
Thanks for the name. I've now read up on it and it doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to grow, but is so exquisite, it's worth a try.
Would it work growing them in a container to help protect from slugs I wonder?
