Metal paint suggestions please

I have a cast metal patio set (table and four chairs) which I need to re paint (white)  and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good (tried and tested) metal paint. The one I used previously despite saying non rust/peel etc.seems to have done just that!

I've always used Hammerite in the past and found it to stand up well to tough weather conditions.

I agree with Dove, Hammerite is reliable long-lasting stuff and you can get a smooth type in white.

Remember to get rid of any old flaking paint and rust using a wire brush and emery paper before you paint it though.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Another vote for Hammerite here - use it every couple of years on the oil tank.

Thank you for swift replies everyone.  I thought that might be the one. I have used it in the past but somehow deviated to a different one which has been very poor. Back to Hammerite it is. Thanks

You can get the same paint in a smooth finish, Smoothrite, or you could, don't know if it's still available.
