Grass repair
I'm looking some advice on grass maintenance. I need to re seed some areas of my grass after a hard winters football, but I also need to feed it. I have bought evergreen 4 in 1 lawn feed but it says not to put on grass that is less than 6 months old. What is the best way to go about adding some new seed and also feeding the grass please, thanks

Can you not feed it first and then overseed a week later ?
Thanks Perki, I was thinking about doing something like that but wasn't sure how long i would have to wait between feeding and seeding, and if it would damage the new seed
The 4 in 1 contains a weed killer which may well affect newly germinated grass seed.
If you're going to re-seed don't use a 4 or 3 in one ... I find that a solution of seaweed fertiliser watered on is a good pick- me-up for lawns.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks dovefromabove, I will look into that
Agreed - Wilko do a cheap but nice Nitrogen heavy liquid lawn feed
Thanks Mark
