Rhubarb Flowering

The rhubarb on my allotment is flowering already - should I remove the flowers or let them do their own thing?

Remove the flower stalk at the base and give the plant a good soak - two or three buckets full of water. I think it's down to the Unusually dry spring.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
