Banana Plant
Need some advice please on what to do with a Banana Plant
The plant has been protected to a height of about 3ft with wire meshing and straw, but the leaves and stem above that left exposed.
The stems have all bent over and leaves died off.
The stems below where they have bent over are very much alive, but I am not sure what to do with the dead leaves that are still attached to the lower stem and should I cut the stem below where it has folded over?

I'd leave them until the come away easily with a sharp tug. Start at the very bottom leaf and work up one at a time.
Mine is still in the polytunnel , but growing nicely now.
Can I cut the stem?
