Crack in bark of new branch?

Hi,

I'm trying to train my first fruit tree and it's planted and pruned,

It had three sideshoots where I want them about 8mm thick at the base and as I tried to train one of the branches I noticed a hairline crack in the bark as i bent it.

Should I continue to attach the branch and either leave or treat the crack?

Or Should I abandon trying to tie it and leave it until next year?

Or maybe I might as well chop the branch off because ive ruined it?

Thanks

A crack just in the bark will heal itself in no time so just tie it in and I'm sure all will be well. image
