hi if  i grow a hydrangea petiolaris in a container will it stop it being too vigorous i would like it to just grow over a seating harbour can i control that

    I would put it in the ground. New plants are slow to start growing but will then speed up as it gets establishe. Easy to give it a light prune at the end of its flowering period to keeps its shape and stop it running riot. Don't over prune or you could restrict its flowering next year.
