I like the purple / white ones I think I got some last year call raspberry ripple. I've only got one set out and that only because I found them in the GH already growing.
Sorry for not answering the query about those little tulips in one of my pots. They're certainly one of the Griegii varieties. I didn't buy any of those though, and they look a bit yellowy in the bud, so I think it's one of the others and not RR. I'd labelled them simply as 'purple tulip', so it may have been some species ones I've got loose at the nursery that were in the wrong place.
I did put them next to the plum Ronaldos because of the foliage
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Mmm, love those purple and cream ones and orange tulips are divine!
How long are individual tulips meant to flower for, by the way?
Some of mine have been going ages and others, not so much...We're not getting much rain here, so having to water the pots every couple of days.
Thank you for lovely comments
sparkles im not sure how long they last, I watered mine last weekend when we had that heatwave
i know they are pretty staggered at opening considering I planted my pots all in the same day!
BM and sparkles... super flowers and photos...thanks.
Can't help noticing some of the pots are lovely too. Must put "elegant pots" on my Christmas and Birthday wish lists.

These were planted in this shady north facing bed in autumn 2012 - they keep coming back and giving a lovely show - the exception that proves the rule
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
More lovely pix - I'm enjoying all of them.
