Rhododendron Problem

Hi,
I would like some help in identifying the problem with my rhododendron.
The leaves on my rhododendron are of a velvet variety rather than the glossy type.
The plant flowered profusely the first year(red flowers) then afterwards it seems to have developed some sort of virus(going by the leaf appearance).
I would love some help in identifying the problem and the cure.....thankyou ?

    The OP has only made 2 posts, both 5 years ago,  so we don't know if it recovered or not. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
