Flymo won't go.

I was mowing my lawn today when the Flymo suddenly stopped.
After a few moments investigation, I saw I'd cut the power cable in two.
I repaired the cable and it still wouldn't go.
I checked the fuse in the plug and that's fine.
I checked the power supply at the socket and that's fine too.
I'd be most grateful for any advice

Is there an automatic cut out on the mower that needs re-setting? Just a guess

Alas, there's no cut-out (as far as I can see).
It's still dead as a dodo.
If you've tried plugging in to another socket, and that socket works with other items, it's possible you've blown something on the mower itself. It might have burnt out the switch in the handle. I have found this link on the Flymo site which might be of help.

Good news, chaps - it's now working again!
I was halfway through removing the switch-cover on the handle and had succeeded in removing two of the torx screws with a slightly-too-big torx driver that was clearly not going to remove the remaining two screws when I (for some reason) ran my hand over the power cable and felt a jagged edge.
The cable had been severed completely at one point (and I'd repaired that, as stated above) but I discovered it had also been nicked at another point sufficiently deeply to severe the live wire!
I've repaired the live wire where it had been cut and the mower now works.

Good job you found that before you plugged it in! Always wise to use a circuit breaker device when mowing.
I also put the cable over my shoulder to keep it behind me, but even so have cut a cable when trying to manoeuvre in an awkward corner
