Using poorly kept shrubs?

Hi,

The garden was turned over and some modest fruit plants were left for ruin in plastic buckets.

That was two or three years ago and I'm pretty sure the raspberries are dead but the blueberries and currents seem to be still alive in their stangnant bog buckets.

I'm ready for planting more fruiting shrubs and am wondering if I should use the abandoned shrubs?

I'm concerned they might be somehow damaged even they look rather happy.

Thanks

No point in spending time and effort on plants that are not in good condition. You could end up spreading disease to other plants.
Dump them and start with new plants.

    I agree with Pete.

I'm sure the 'save everything, scratch the bark to see if it's green' people will disagree but if you want fruit, get some healthy plants
