wisteria flowered last year, not this year
I have two wisteria plants that flowered last year, but not this year. Correct pruning was carried out in summer and winter. Anybody else experience this and any ideas what might have gone wrong?

It's possible that the pruning regime was too hard and the plants are making up growth instead. Are they young plants, or only purchased last year when in flower?

Thanks H-C, they were purchased whilst in flower, so not so young.
I know, but . . .they come in flower because they've been kept container grown and are under the misconception that they've reached maturity, in the pot. Therefore they flower, which suits the grower and supplier because they sell quickly. However, once they get out into the big wide world and discover soil, space and freedom to grow, that's what they do, at the expense of flower. It can often take a few years for a wisteria to reach 'maturity' in the ground and start producing flowering spurs. I think that's what yours has done, enjoyed itself and grown. If it's healthy, enjoy its youthful vigour and hopefully it'll flower next year or perhaps the year after.

Thanks both. H-C, that's really helpful to know. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next year or two then. Bit of a shame, though, I was so looking forward to the blooms this year! I've had another wisteria in another part of the garden for close to 10 years - still waiting for it to flower -- thought I had it all guaranteed by buying two in flower last year!
