Tomato seedlings no leaves

hi, I'm new to gardening and I have sown my tomato seeds (golden cherry), they have been kept indoors and watered. Some of the seeds have popped up but with no leaves. They have been like this for nearly a week. Do I give up on these and start again? Or will they be ok? Thanks in advance.image

Have they got seed leaves or just a bit of stalk?

I'd start again, If there are no seed leaves they won't be going anywhere. I wonder what happened there.

Did the little seedcases stay stuck on the tops of the stalk?

nope there's nothing on the top of them, just little stalks.

Start again ... but that's weird ... image  any slimy silvery trails ... it's not unknown for slugs and snails to lurk in houseplants etc and come out and attack seedlings at night ... ?

I once had a mouse in the potting shed 3 or 4 years ago and it nipped the tops off of most of my tomato seedlings, leaving them looking exactly how you describe yours..
