Potting up dahlias
Hello
I potted up my first ever dahlias yesterday using directions I found on the internet which instructed to set the tubers 6-8 inches below the surface, cover and leave dry. Now I've read several different methods where the tuber is just under the surface with the old stalk or new growth is sticking up and given a gentle water after.
Should i carefully re-pot them using the latter method?
thank you

I've never planted mine that deep. Can't honestly say it it would do any harm but mine always grow fine with no more that an inch of soil covering them.
Hi Rob
I think re-potting is about to commence. The tubers came from Sarah Raven and their online instructions are also for shallow planting. I must have accidentally thrown the instructions away with the box.
thanks Rob
