    Hi ogster,

If you do an internet search for plants/flowers with Shirley in the name - you may find some. Often, rose varieties will have most names and if not there are ones named "memories" or "special Mum" etc.

You may prefer to just pick a shrub/plant that you like the look of, or you think that she would have liked and dedicate it to her.

I hope you can find something fitting and suitable - it's a lovely idea.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Hi ogster. The only plants available in this country with the name Shirley are a Fuchsia and Shirley poppies. The best plants to look for special memories/occasions are roses and whilst you might not find a rose called Shirley there may be a suitably named one that fits an occasion that holds happy memories for your father.
