Wurly bird weeds

these weeds popped up all over the back third of my garden, never seen them before. They are all over the grass, in the borders & even on top of bark. Anyone know what they are & how to deal with them

They're sycamore tree seeds which fell from a nearby tree last autumn and have just germinated with the warmer weather - just hoe them out of the bark - leave them laying there and if you do it today or tomorrow the warm sunny weather we have forecast for the weekend will shrivel them up.
The ones on the lawn will be dealt with by weekly mowing over the next two or three weeks.
It's just the ones in the borders that are a little more difficult to deal with, but just pull them up or hoe them out asap. Keep you eyes open during the summer for any that you may have missed - they'll turn quite quickly into tree saplings - pull the beggars out.
We get the same here every year with ash tree seeds. They're not a problem as long as you do as I've suggested.
