Pumpkin seedlings

I have managed to get some pumpkin seeds to germinate but there outer casings are still on.i don't know whether or not to help them remove the casings or just to let them come off in thier own time.I'm a complete beginner and have just started experimenting with growing seeds at home on a small scale.

I've succeeded  from seed with red spring onions, pumpkin lettuce radish and camomile.

I've failed to germinate with tomato, (Only one has managed to germinate), strawberrys and some other easy to grow flowers ????

    Thanks, I have removed the casings and they seem to be doing well.just experimenting at the moment with different seeds and techniques.trial and error .thanks for reply image
