Pruning to fan train cherry?

Hi,

I have googled several guides on how to prune a cherry into a fan but because my situation isnt exactly the same as in the guide I'm completely stumped.

I bought a maiden and pruning for no existing sideshoots and for several side shoots is covered in diagrams.

It arrived and it has three side shoots.

I believe I'm supposed to prune the main trunk down to about 60cm from the ground but I don't know about the shoots.

I would like the fan to have a central shoot up the middle of the frame.

I'll post a photo in a sec.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes that's a real time photo taken yesterday.

Should I cut the top next to a bud to get it to send up a central shoot or cut away from buds?

Should I break off any buds that I don't want to shoot or do I deal with unwanted shoots later?
