Cherry Tree - Fruit Flies & maggots

We've had fruit flies and maggots the last few years in our huge Cherry tree. All the fruit is destroyed. I don't know what to do. Any advise?

Thanks for the link. That does sound like we we've had. My tree is way too big to net. Hopefully I can find a solution as it's such a waste of fruit.
