Plant ID please

Anyone know what this might be? I could just wait and see but I'm really eager to know - may be self seeded or from a pack of random seeds I chucked there last year :)

  • Possibly red campion? Flowers early and leaves are quite fuzzy and soft...

    I really like it and can't wait for more flowers - this one was from a "wildflower" type seed packet and is growing in pretty poor dry soil :) 

  • This was the back of the shade border last year, it's a fairly inhospitable place as there is a conifer hedge behind the fence also so I've turned it a bit wild.

    As Muddle-up says, they happily grow anywhere though - I had one in the middle of one of my best borders a few years ago, I thought one of my echinacea's was doing unusually well until the flower spikes appearedimage
