If you are growing tree lilies in pots, they need to be the biggest pots you can handle. All my tree lilies are in the ground. The other lilies are in huge clay pots. Use a free draining compost, if you only have the multipurpose, add plenty of grit and crock the bottom well. Feed well through the growing period, or mix in osmocote granules to last a season. Big lilies in small pots just fall over, too top heavy.
