Views & ID's

We had a wonderful cliff walk this afternoon - glorious day here. imageimageimageimageimageimageFirst picture is known as Saints bay, facing south. The second I have been told is a Green Tiger Beetle or Cicindela Campestris which is quite rare. I think the third is some kind of oxalis, but I don't know the names of the 4th & 5th. plants.  The last picture is a group of rocks known as the Peastacks with the small rock near the middle being known as the Victor Hugo rock - it looks like his statue which is in our town area (Victor lived here, in exile for a few years) before becoming a French national hero.

Lovely views. Beautiful blue sea image

For the IDs, the 4th might be an alpine dianthus. The 5th is probably lemon balm or an apple mint but hard to tell without the benefit of scent

  • Thank you - it was breathtakingly beautiful today with the brilliant blue sea.  Sorry, I forgot to mention that there wasn't a scent on the mint looking plant.  I might be cat mint?
