Revive!

hello!

I was given these two plants from Ikea, rosemary and lavender, for free as they were getting thrown so they gave them to us how can I get them to come back alive? The lavender is floppy like it needs a lot of water so I've gave it lots and cut all the flowers off of it and I've watered the rosemary too  Any advice would be a great help.

If you've given them both a good soak and the pots feel heavy leave them somewhere outside, but sheltered and away from direct sun (and frost for the moment) and see if they recover.

Lavender sometimes just decides to die if it goes thirsty for any length of time, but your's doesn't look too bad. It's French Lavender you have there.

When recovered they both like similar conditions. They're both Mediterranean plants so like lots of sun and and good drainage but don't let them dry out - mine are in a very gritty soil in pots and i often water daily in the summer. You could give them a little feed when they perk up but generally they do best on poor soil that never gets waterlogged.
