Tulips blooming with no colour

Hi Gardeners,

All of my new tulips for this year are blooming with no real colour in the petals, just a washed out light green shade. They are a mixture of Rembrandts and double tulips, so they should be very colourful! I have not come across this issue before, and the fact that it is happening with two different kinds of bulb make me wonder if there is something going on in the soil? Could anybody shed any light on what could cause this?
