Night scented Phlox

Bought a night-scented phlox plant last year which has overwintered here in Lincolnshire and is now in full bloom. such a lovely scent in the evening. Is it unusual for it to overwinter outdoors ?

Mine has also survived the winter outdoors and is in flower, but in the past they have not survived, so they seem to need a mild winter.
Mine has also survived in Derbyshire. I bought it last year and recall the instructions said it could overwinter outdoors in the right spot. So I've had it somewhere with the most possible sun and with shelter from bigger plants. But I agree, looking at it I think a colder winter would have finished it off.
