Tick infestation

We have developed a tick infestation on our lawn. Can anyone sugest any solution, please? It's horrible. We live in the wet west of Scotland. If you can't help, could anyone advise where we could get help? Thanks!

That sounds nasty ... I have no experience of ticks in lawns ... here in Norfolk they tend to lurk in long grass and taller vegetation.
I just consulted google and found this http://www.bada-uk.org/tick-control/tick-control-domestic-environment but you may well have seen it already.
Hopefully someone else will have some more ideas.
