Many thanks although not sure if my conscience will let me, they seem to be thriving on suet balls and I still have the dry meal worms which I struggled to buy. But many thanks for taking the time to let me know and here is another photo just spotted this fellow up where I leave a big Tupperware box full of water
I might ask a real question about growing veg but as I am completely new to this (way of communicating/not growing veg) so if I need to put that type of thing somewhere else if there is some kind of order to this or just ask away? I have decided!!!!!! I will ask away after a nap, I will probably bore you all with a few more photos when the local wildlife come back for afternoon tea bye for now Lee and his garden pals
I will and thank you, I feel guilty if I try to trim anything as there is stuff living everywhere!! so will just keep a space for my veggies and share the rest with my little friends (who are queuing up to eat each other) but I try not to think about that too much
Thanks for the nice comments. I have another bird in the garden this morning, but not sure what it is. I think it may be a dunnock or possibly a juvenile nightingale? if anybody knows I would really appreciate it if you could leave a note. It is slightly bigger than a robin and seems to peck around for left overs from the feeding ball that the blue tits peck at, it is very twitchy when it moves about, but not to fussed about me and certainly didn't mind the flash going off when I took these, although if he/she knew a great big badger had been in the same spot a couple of hours earlier it might be a bit more worried.
For live bird (and others food) I use this company: Wiggle Wigglers. I've never had a problem with the meal worm I purchase from them: all arrive alive and well and best of all if you don't fancy setting up your own meal worm farm or having a large quantity of them in a tub in the shed you can set up a subscription service to have as much or as little delivered as often as you like.

Thomasleep - you have a lovely wildlife haven there rather than a "sterile" environment.
Continue to enjoy it.

Thomas,
