Angelica seedlings or ground elder

in Plants
Hi
I have some Angelica archangelica in the garden (larger plant pic) and next to it are a lot of seedlings (other 2 pics) that look like it, unless its ground elder. I need to dig it out if it's the latter. Can anyone help? I'm not sure, I dug one of the seedlings up and it has rhizomes but then perhaps Angelica has those too? thanks

Ground Elder. The 2 small leaves at the bottom centre of photo 2 could possibly be Angelica. Angelica doesn't have rhizomes - it's not a spreading plant like GE, it just grows a single rosette then flowers & dies.
Agree. Having fought the good fight it's Ground Elder. Winds itself around everything! Good luck.
Thanks both!
