Lidl magnolia

RobmarstonRobmarston Posts: 338

i was in Ireland the week before last and in a Lidl there they had magnolias for 9.99 euros. They had stellata, Susan and Henry something or other. They were a good size and healthy looking - the sort that go for over £40 here. Anyone seen them on this side of the pond? If they have I'm going to rush out and get one. Real bargain.

Really thats a good dea;, maybe I need to go take a look..  Not that its a Magnolia but ALDI's have micro plug packs of Peppers and Alicante Tomatoes ,   6 pack for £1.99p..  got a pack of the Toms and transplanted them into 4 inch pots of John Innes No 1 and in 4 days they have grown from 3 inches high to 5 inches, in my new greenhouse..

They've got some really cheap packs of seeds too. I got some China asters and zinnias, all of which have germinated. Lidl has some really good stuff.

Yep you gotta look. My only beef is they never water then, so snap them up in the first couple of days..  Aldis is the same, they say they cannot water the plants for health & safety reasons...

Yet Wilko and Home Bargains water theirs..
