To eat or not to eat??

I know all fungus can be eaten - but some only once!! Do any of you clever folk know if is this a common morel or a false one (or something completely different). They're popping up all over the front garden. Thanks muchly

It looks like one to me, but please don't eat it on my say so!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your local Wildlife Trust might know of a specialist who could identify it for you ... they may well charge a fee.

Thanks everyone - have googled black morels and it says they're difficult to grow and prized (but not in Norfolk). Think I'll stick to my original plan of beans on toast tonight and leave the morels where they are. Thanks again you clever people
